15 March 2009: Arrival Delhi
Arrive in Delhi and transfer with assistance to Hotel Claridges www.claridges-hotels.com Overnight at hotel.

Old Delhi however is quintessentially Indian, with a warren of cluttered houses, traditional lifestyles and age-old monuments such as the Red Fort and the Mosque.

16 March 2009: Delhi/Nagpur (9W 367 at 1620 hrs) / Kanha
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer with assistance to domestic airport to board flight 9W 367 for Nagpur departing at 1620 hrs. Arrive Kanha at 1920 hrs and transfer with assistance to Kanha. On arrival Khana check in at Singinawa www.singinawa.com. Overnight at hotel.

Kanha National Park is one of the most popular Tiger Reserves in the country and definitely one where you stand a very good chance of spotting a tiger. Among the other wildlife that can be spotted is the leopard, barasingha deer, the sambar, spotted deer (chital), the Indian bison (gaur), langur monkeys, bluebull (nilgai), wild dogs (dhole) and wild boar.

17 March 2009: Kahna
Kanha National Park: The core area covers 940 sq. kms. and is covered in grasslands and forest. The total area is 1945 kms with 1005 km being a buffer zone to the reserve. It is located in the central highlands of Mandla and Balaghat districts of Madhya Pradesh and is part of the vast 500 km-wide forest belt of the Satpuras and the Vindhyas. The terrain is hilly at an altitude of 450 meters to 950 metres over sea level. Most of the hills are covered in grass and very little green foliage is present. In the lower regions the forests are covered with bamboo and lower still is Sal.

19 March 2009: Khana / Bandhavgarh
Breakfast at hotel and then drive to Bandhavgarh. On arrival check in at Camp Mewar (Website : www.campmewar.com ). Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at lodge.
Bandhavgarh : has one of the densest populations of Tigers in India. The National Park was only incorporated into Project Tiger in 1994 but is certainly among the top three when it comes to chances of encountering this magnificent predator. The steep cliffs provide nesting habitat for Long-billed Vultures and the local Shahin race of the Peregrine Falcon. Following up their alarm calls is often the best way of tracking down the predators, which may be a Leopard, Tiger, or even a pack of Dhole (Red Dogs). Among Bandhavgarh 250+ bird species the Lesser Adjutant, Brown Fish Owl and Mottled Wood Owl are perhaps more easily seen here.

23 March 2009: Arrive Agra

Agra is globally renowned as the city of the Taj Mahal. But this royal Mughal City has, in addition to the legendary Taj, many other monuments that epitomize the high point of Mughal architecture. 

Afternoon visit the Agra Fort, built and added to between the 16th and 17th Centuries by successive rulers of the Mughal Dynasty.  The Fort ramparts were raised by the great Mughal Emperor Akbar, Emperor Jehangir built rose-red palaces, courts and gardens and Shahajahan embellished it with marble mosques, palaces and pavilions of gem-inlaid white marble.

Evening visit Taj Mahal the most extravagant monument ever built for love. This wonder in white marble was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in memory of his wife Mumtaz in the year 1631. It took 22 years and 20000 craftsmen and laborers from India and Central to complete the construction of this historic tomb of Mumtaz Mahal, the chosen one of Emperor Shah Jehan. Overnight.

24 March 2009: Agra / Delhi
Breakfast at hotel and then drive to Delhi. On arrival transfer to International Airport.
